The Armenian Relief Society of Eastern USA is proud to serve as the birthplace of the Armenian Relief Society, established in 1910 in New York City. Since its formation in 1979, the ARS Eastern USA has brought the Society's worldwide mission to our local communities through the work of 32 chapters located east of the Mississippi River.
Proud ARS members work on a volunteer basis throughout the year to help all community organizations reach their endeavors. ARS members set up blood drives, operate Armenian schools, raise funds for regional and international ARS projects to benefit the Armenian Diaspora and Armenia and Artsakh, contribute to worthy non-Armenian organizations in their locale, donate scholarships to deserving students, and much more.
The ARS of Eastern USA is made up of 32 Chapters and 1,130 members.
The ARS of Eastern USA is a non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c) (3) organization registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is extremely important that all Chapters strictly follow our Constitution in the administration of their funds. Due to the scrutiny of the Office of the Attorney General of Massachusetts, we continue to emphasize the importance of keeping proper accounting books, at the chapter level, in order to satisfy the requirements of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The Board of Directors expresses its gratitude to our Chapters for their devotion, time, support, and funding. It is through their hard work and a dedicated membership that we have been able to continue to serve the needs of the Armenian people in the Eastern USA, Armenia, Artsakh, Javakhk, and the diaspora.
