The Armenian Relief Society (ARS) of Eastern USA proudly announces that two of its esteemed members, Ungh. Angele Manoogian and Ungh. Shakeh Basmadjian, were honored by the ARS Central Executive Board for their decades of dedicated service to the organization and the Armenian nation.

The awards were presented during a special ceremony celebrating the 115th Anniversary of the Armenian Relief Society, held at the Hakob Paronyan State Musical Comedy Theatre in Yerevan, Armenia.

Ungh. Angele Manoogian was bestowed with the “Heart of ARS” Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing her lifelong devotion to the Society’s humanitarian mission. A pillar of ARS service in the Eastern Region, Ungh. Angele was also recognized by the ARS Eastern USA with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021 and earlier this year received a special 50 years of Meritorious Service Certificate for her half a century of service. Angele has spearheaded many fundraising efforts during her organizational life including working tirelessly for the residents of the Shirak Province following the devastating Spitak Earthquake and led the renovation of the Soseh Kindergarten in Stepanakert, which are lasting examples of her commitment. Though she was unable to attend the ceremony in person, her legacy of service was warmly celebrated by all in attendance.
