The ARS “Sosseh”
Chapter of Florida
South Florida ‘s Sosseh Chapter was founded in 1985 in Fort Lauderdale with 14 members. Over the years, the chapter has grown in membership and participates in Regional activities and international ARS programs. The Sosseh Chapter has sponsored the expenses of the community’s children and youth to attend AYF Camp Haiastan. The chapter has also sponsored college-aged students to attend the ARS Summer Studies Program, which is underwritten by a bequest by Alice Norian, who was a member of the Sosseh Chapter.
The Sosseh Chapter is also respected for its many local activities for South Florida’s Armenian community, including its “Mitchink Dinner Theatre,” Halloween party, Mother’s Day luncheon, and Monte Carlo Night. The chapter serves the community, taking its example from prior generations of ARS members.
